June 11, 2018 (Toronto, ON) – Canada’s favourite shaggy Saskatchewan rockers The Sheepdogs and Texas’ favourite gentleman Shakey Graves have announced a co-headlining show at RBC Echo Beach on September 20. The bill is being rounded out by Portland, OR’s Blitzen Trapper. Tickets will be available to the public this Friday, June 15 at 10am EST at LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.ca.
The RBC Echo Beach show caps off an extremely busy winter and spring for The Sheepdogs. Their Changing Colours tour saw the band selling out shows on a 21 date coast to coast run. The band was selected as the 2018 Record Store Day Champions of Canada and the release of their “Prairie Gold” beer (made in partnership with Mill Street Brewery) received coverage from etalk. Finally, “I’ve Got a Hole Where My Heart Should Be,” the lead single from their new album Changing Colours hit the #1 spot on Canadian rock radio, while the album itself debuted in the Top 5.
Austin’s Shakey Graves (Alejandro Rose-Garcia) will make his return to Toronto after a sold out show last month at the legendary Massey Hall. His latest headlining tour across North America is in support of the Texas musician’s latest album Can’t Wake Up, available now on Dualtone Records. The new record takes a progressive turn from Shakey Graves’ traditional sound and presents his evolution “from a campfire storyteller into a songwriter armed with a full band.”
