Dark Poutine podcast recap: The Crimes of Michael Wayne McGray

This week’s episode of the Dark Poutine podcast looks at convicted serial killer Michael Wayne McGray.

In the spring of 1985, 17-year-old Elizabeth Gail Tucker went missing when hitchhiking from Dartmouth to Southwestern, N.S. Tucker was the first of many murder victims, from a very diverse pool, of one of Canada’s coldest and most outspoken serial killers. From 1984 to 1998, McGray is thought to have committed between seven and 22 murders across Canada, with one suspected murder in Seattle.

He was convicted of seven murders, one of which happened after years in custody. McGray remorselessly admits to as many as 10 more murders and says that, if given the chance, he would do it again and again.
