Lineup of legendary musicians to take the stage at The Westdale on March 25

Undercovers is a special one-night, intimate, collaborative evening where a lineup of Canadian musical legends come together to perform inspired cover songs in a beautifully curated setting. We are excited to announce pioneering MuchMusic VJ Erica Ehm will host the event and share some of her stories. The Bill Bell Trio is comprised of some of Canada’s biggest music veterans, and will anchor the night, joined by a rotating lineup of phenomenal guest artists for unique, one-off performances.

Erica Ehm began her storied career on MuchMusic, but has since grown to become a songwriter, author, television host and actor. She has won three Canadian Country Music Awards and three SOCAN Awards for her songwriting.

Bill Bell is a multi instrumentalist, producer and mixer, making music for over 35 years, and touring and recording with Jason Mraz, Tom Cochrane, the Lightfoot Band, Jimmy Rankin, Alex Lifeson (RUSH), Lawrence Gowan, Justin Nozuka, Danko Jones, Shaye, and many more.

The evening will be full of surprises, and includes appearances by Canadian music royalty Tomi Swick, Kim Stockwood, Suzie McNeil, Tara Slone, and Jeff Heisholt, Blake Manning, drummer and percussionist for Matthew Good, Rodriguez, The Heartbroken, David Wilcox and more, and Stan Miczek, bass player with Sass Jordan since 1996 and a 25-year pro in the music industry with well over 4000 live shows under his belt.

This event is being done in support of the Unison Fund. With a record-breaking number of music workers reaching out for financial and mental health services, funding to support Unison’s programs is critical to the survival and well-being of many in the Canadian music industry.

“If you love music, like me – you have special songs that bring back memories of certain moments of your life. Our favorite musicians play these songs that provide the soundtrack to our lives,” says Peter John Van Dyk, the event’s organizer. “The Unison fund was created to ensure that the people who make up the Canadian music business never face times of crisis alone. We are coming together to celebrate music, raise funds, and support Canadian musicians through Unison’s counselling services and programs. Music workers change our lives; your donation can help change theirs!”

Undercovers is an event about community, great songs, and shared moments—onstage and off.
