Fresh from their double JUNO wins for Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year, live rock’n’roll authorities Arkells have announced their 2019 summer party: “A Rally Cry Summer Night” June 22nd at Budweiser Stage. Fans can expect the set to feature all the chart-topping hits, plus Arkells’ famed “soul review” Motown dance-party cuts. Joining the bill will be celebrated Nashville alt-band Judah & the Lion, and Toronto’s dance-hall bred duo Bonjay.
Arkells frontman Max Kerman points out: “The third weekend in June is becoming a bit of a tradition for our band. Between The Rally last year at Tim Horton’s Field, and our 2017 show at Budweiser Stage, some of our most memorable nights ever have landed on that weekend. It’s become our favorite time of the year. If you’re from these parts, you can feel the summer about to explode. We’re pulling out all the stops for a A Rally Cry Summer Night: Arkells jams, souls jams, all for the best dance party of the summer. Promise.”
Since the release of their acclaimed album, Rally Cry, the Hamilton five-piece have been relentlessly touring North America and the UK, recently wrapping a cross-Canada arena run that included a sold-out stop at Toronto’s Scotiabank Area.
