Live Nation and Budweiser Stage Back to Live are thrilled to announce ARKELLS triumphant return to live music – their first shows back onstage, for three once-in-a-return-from-pandemic history making nights at Toronto’s Iconic Budweiser Stage, aptly titled “ARKELLS LONG WEEKEND.” In bringing Budweiser Stage Back to Live, ARKELLS LONG WEEKEND will mark ARKELLS first live performance in 16 months, and the venue’s first show since summer of 2019.

Previously announced as a two-night affair, a third show has been added to meet the overwhelming demand and enthusiasm for a return to live music this summer.

“You didn’t leave us with a choice! We blew through so many tickets on the pre-sale that we had to add a third. Each night will be its own unique moment as we mark this special occasion. We’ve got a lot of songs to re-learn!” says frontman Max Kerman. “It’s been a long haul, but we kept telling ourselves to be patient – when shows come back, we’re going to do it big, and we’re going to do it right. This event is billed as a long-weekend because it’ll feel like a celebration that we’ve yearned to have together. There’s no better place for it.”

“We’ve been eagerly awaiting the moment to reopen Budweiser Stage and bask in the euphoric feeling that comes with bringing live music back to Toronto,” said Mike D’Agostini, Senior Marketing Director, Budweiser Canada. “Having missed concert season last year, we’re so excited to be welcoming people back this summer and we’re thrilled that Arkells are the inaugural band to take our stage after being closed for so long.”

“We’ve spent the past 10 years on the road playing shows, and it’s a trade we’re always trying to improve upon,” Notes Kerman. “We might be a little rusty coming back, but we can promise there will never be as much giddy, childlike excitement for our return to playing shows. We’re already practicing up!”

About ARKELLS:
Hailed by The Globe and Mail as “the right kind of band for this decade,” Arkells are widely considered one of the most passionate, exuberant and in-demand live bands working today. As radio mainstays, sports-sync shoe-ins and curious students of culture, Arkells have remained ever present – building awareness and personal community experiences around their live shows and new music at every turn. The most emblematic example of this being The Rally, Arkells’ hometown concert that was hailed as one of the biggest headline shows in the country, and is slated to return in 2022. On the heels of three #1 singles, Arkells continue to unleash new music and tour dates as the band and their fans return to live in-person festivities. Their hotly anticipated new album BLINK ONCE releases globally September 22.
